Drawing a sailor in a boat

Start
by creating a rectangle vertically using rectangular shape
tool.
|
|
|
| Press
Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to
get the shape as shown. |
|
|
| Double
click the layer to open layer style window. Apply layer style
with the settings shown. |
|
|
|
|
| Duplicate
the layer. Rotate and scale. Place as shown in the image
below. |

|
| Create
a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. |
|
|
| Press
Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to
get the shape as shown. |
|
|
|
|
| Create
another rectangle using rectangular shape tool. |
|
|
| Press
Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to
get the shape as shown. |
|
|
| Place
it as shown in the image below. |
|
|
| Duplicate
the layer, adjust the shape and fill with different color. |
|
|
| Create
another shape using pen tool and fill with boat color. |
|
|
| Create
a rectangle using rectangular shape tool. Press Ctrl+T. Right
click the layer and select distort. Adjust nodes to get the
shape as shown. Place it as shown. |

| Create
some more rectangles and fill with lighter color to add depth
and highlights to the boat. Distort the rectangles, rotate,
scale and place a shown. |

|
|
| Create
a circle using elliptical shape tool. |
|
|
| Press
Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust nodes to
get the shape as shown. |
|
|
| Create
a bandana over sailor's head using pen tool. |
|
|
| Create
a couple of circles for the ears using elliptical shape tool. |
|
|
| Create
eyes of the sailor using elliptical shape tool. |
|
|
| Create
lips of the sailor using brush tool. |
|
|
| Draw
shirt of the sailor using pen tool. |
|
|
| Create
arms using pen tool. |
|
|
| Create
a gradient as shown. |
|
|
| Apply
gradient to the background. |
|
|
| Select
and merge all the sailor and boat layers. Duplicate the layer.
Press Ctrl+T. Right click the layer and select warp. Adjust
nodes and fill with a dark color to create a perspective
shadow of the ship. |
